Bring the recipe and the work together
FOR:FACTORY is a native manufacturing workflow, not a requirement to buy another production system. The bill of materials owns both the physical components and the ordered process steps. Releasing a manufacturing order freezes that recipe for the job, so operators work against a clear material target and a defined sequence.
Follow the job from materials to output
The first step is material picking. Verified material issues unlock the subsequent operations, where operators start, pause, report progress and complete their work. Required quality checks control the handoff, and final-step output records the good and scrap quantities. Job completion follows the evidence from these steps rather than a manually chosen success label.
What to know before you start
The documented workflow is production execution with material availability checks. Do not assume finite-capacity scheduling, phantom BOMs, backflushing or hourly labor-cost allocation.
Practical questions
Is FOR:FACTORY an external manufacturing integration?
No. Its BOMs, manufacturing orders, material picks and execution records are native capabilities connected to the platform's inventory workflow.
Can an operator simply mark a job complete?
Closure requires the relevant materials, completed steps, quality evidence and confirmed final output. A status alone does not replace that work.
